Specification Review

Toroidal coil winding machine

Resolve finished core opening, wire size, winding-head selection and recipe repeatability before you select a toroidal coil winding machine supplier. Bobbin-wound leaflets do not set the toroidal size envelope. This page is a procurement dossier, not an engineering stamp or a compliance guarantee for the winding cell.

Collect the same package for every bidder: finished core outside and inside diameters, height, wire diameter, insulation class, and the remaining opening you must keep after winding. Photograph how cores will be loaded onto the roller table or shuttle. If a bobbin-winder PDF is in the file, label it as a different family so nobody copies 0.02–1.0 mm wire tables onto a toroidal head. State quantity, destination and whether a recorded demonstration is required before shipment.

Supplier answer

Each factory should name the winding head and roller table used for the quoted opening, the wire-control arrangement, and how the core is supported during traverse. Ask for a demonstration that records loading, tensioner setting and lead-out against the drawing revision. Require a statement on whether the first recipe still holds after a second core is wound, including setup minutes and rejected starts. Optional taping or stripping must be confirmed as installable on that head, not assumed from a bobbin-machine accessory list.

Open deviation

Typical gaps: one bidder prices a head that cannot pass the finished opening; another uses a sample core larger than your production lot; a third quotes empty-shuttle speed as output. Leave those as open deviations. Geographic search position is not evidence. Affiliation with any named OEM is not implied by citing public type pages.

Pass criteria belong in the purchase contract: remaining opening, wire damage, layer placement on the torus, and electrical checks named by the product engineer. Sample cores must be production-intent, not empty rings. If you later add a bobbin station, that is a second RFQ. We can circulate a comparison of documents; we cannot certify the winding process or promise a percent cost reduction. For manufacturer-side quote alignment see quote coordination.
