Motor coil winding machine

Application review for a motor coil winding machine, with transformer coil winding machine as a second duty that changes wire size, layer build and lead exits. The winding cell still starts at a defined bobbin or former and ends at a complete coil ready for the buyer’s electrical checks. Upstream lamination stacking or downstream impregnation is not implied. Who owns tensioner settings and recipe records should be named before you compare island prices.

Installation environment

Operating context
A motor coil winding machine usually sits beside a stator or armature cell with three-phase supply, compressed air for chucks, and floor space for wire spools and finished-coil trays. Transformer coil winding machine duty often needs a larger traverse, heavier wire and a different lead-routing height. Neither duty proves the other. Representative production samples of bobbins, magnet wire and the actual lead terminals should travel with the RFQ so tension and speed proposals match the insulation class you will run, not a brochure average.
Installation environment: Design input
Describe how empty bobbins arrive and how finished coils leave. For motor coils, record pole count families, winding width, and whether start and finish leads must exit at a fixed clock position. For transformer coils, record layer insulation, cooling ducts if any, and whether the former stays on a horizontal or vertical axis. State ceiling height, pit limits and whether a roller table or extra pay-off must sit outside the machine footprint. Name the US plant destination so crate and voltage assumptions are not left implicit.
Supplier answer
Ask for a tension and spindle-speed proposal tied to the actual wire specification, including the tensioner model and whether dancer or magnetic braking is assumed. Request who writes the first recipe and what editing access the buyer receives after handover. Confirm compressed-air quality, connected kVA and whether extraction is required for enamel dust. If a transformer coil winding machine share of the RFQ uses a different head, it must be priced as a second configuration, not as a free conversion of the motor chuck.
Open deviation
Do not copy a motor bobbin chuck onto a transformer former. Do not use a no-load spindle rating as plant output when taping or stripping remains manual. If impregnation ovens appear in a brochure, treat them as a different project. If a vendor quotes only the winding head while you need pay-off, cutter and unload in the same cell, the application is not yet specified.
